General Info and FAQ

We no longer operate within the health insurance system after 2 decades years of firsthand experience with its limitations and inequities.
The current system consistently undervalues the time-intensive, holistic, and patient-centered approach that naturopathic medicine provides, instead prioritizing brief, symptom-focused visits that fit within rigid billing structures.
Reimbursement rates for naturopathic physicians have remained unfairly low, failing to reflect the depth of care we offer or the complexity of cases we manage.
Additionally, insurance companies impose restrictions on treatments, lab testing, and preventive care—often forcing patients and providers to navigate unnecessary hurdles rather than focusing on true health restoration.
By stepping outside this system, we can provide thorough, individualized care that prioritizes long-term wellness rather than short-term symptom management, free from the administrative burdens and arbitrary limitations imposed by insurers.

While we do not bill insurance directly, patients are welcome to request an invoice or superbill, which they can submit to their insurance provider for potential reimbursement.
Coverage will depend on your specific plan and out-of-network benefits.
We encourage patients to check with their insurance company to understand their reimbursement options.

We recognize and understand that access to quality care is important, and we strive to make services as accessible as possible.
For patients in need, we offer sliding scale options on a case-by-case basis. If financial concerns are a barrier to care, please reach out to discuss available options.
Additionally, patients can use health savings accounts (HSAs) or flexible spending accounts (FSAs) for payment, and we can provide a superbill for potential insurance reimbursement.
Our goal is to work with you to find a solution that supports your health while maintaining the sustainability of my practice.

A Fuller Life is not a primary care facility, and we encourage all patients to maintain a relationship with a primary care provider for routine screenings, urgent concerns, and comprehensive medical management.
While Dr Fuller is able to prescribe medications when appropriate, not all prescriptions will be transferred or managed within this practice.
With a focus on integrative and functional approaches to health, medication management will be determined on a case-by-case basis in alignment with my scope of practice and clinical approach.
